Hot Dip Coating

The hot dip coating process is used to apply a protective coating over a substrate and is not removed as in hot dip molding. The same physical properties range applies to hot dip coating as hot dip molding. This process can be used for large or small parts including tool handles, outdoor furniture, and wire plating racks. Because these plastisols do not have any adhesive properties to the substrate, primers are often used as a tie coat to bond the plastisol to the substrate and improve the durability of the end product.
